Do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Sunflower. We ate at all the “fancy” places in CB and Sunflower was by far a class above. The food is exquisite. The service was so personable yet professional. Cocktails were perfect. And the restaurant is quaint and comfortable. This is THE place to be in CB.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Sunflower at the end of March and we were absolutely thrilled with how perfect this venue was for our small group of 25. Natalie made the process so simple from start to finish: there weren’t pages upon pages of contracts or hidden costs. She gave us a straight forward, all-inclusive cost and made it easy for our wedding planners to come in during the day before our reception and decorate/transform the restaurant into a magical, flower-filled space that felt intimate and uniquely ours for the evening. Natalie and Chris created a beautiful, locally resourced menu with flavors that were astounding. Our guests were blown away by the courses that never seemed to end and the amount of food they were served. Speaking of service - our servers and bartenders were THE BEST. Ben and team were top notch - they kept our drinks and plates full, and when we cleared the tables for dancing, they were out there celebrating with us. It really felt more like we were partying at a really cool family member’s house than a restaurant! We can’t say enough good things about this beautiful, intimate space, the amazing food, wonderful service and the absolutely lovely people at Sunflower who made our evening magical. Really good food, fun vibe, farm to table. Only drawback is dinner is but lunch is affordable, so go for lunch. Updated: we did come for dinner the next time we were in town and while it was really pricey, it was delicious and such a good experience, it was worth it. It's best family style so you can try a lot of different things, and every thing we tried (peach soup, meatballs, pork belly, lamb, and chocolate torte) was incredible. The flavors were deep and interesting, and everything was cooked and prepared to perfection. Absolutely come for lunch or brunch if money is tight, but if you can swing it, get dinner! Recommend getting reservations because it's a small space and they fill up quick.

We had the most amazing dinner. Ben was a great server, food was high quality, and atmosphere was so cute! We loved how everything was coursed and never felt rushed. There was information on the menu where each ingredient came from as well as thoughtful thank you note and cards from the supporting farmers. We will definitely be returning the next time we are in Crested Butte.

What can I say other than THANK YOU to Natalie and the entire Sunflower team? They went above and beyond to make our wedding reception not only delicious but truly special. Leading up to the event, they were incredible to work with, and on the night of, they made everything feel seamless. Sunflower feels like home in the best possible way—warm, cozy, and with food that is absolutely top tier. It was my goal to have the best wedding food anyone has ever had, and Sunflower completely delivered. Every course was better than the last, and our families are still raving about it. A huge thank you to Natalie, Chris, Ben, and everyone at Sunflower—we will treasure that night forever!

Dinner at the Sunflower was absolutely amazing! Really enjoyed the positive energy and impeccable service by all the staff, which was rivaled by all the incredible food coming out of the kitchen. Everything was spot on!! Was traveling with my brother and a good friend for over two weeks, and was easily one of the best meals & dinner experiences that we had. I was in Crested Butte visiting from Maryland for me and my girlfriend’s anniversary. If there were more than 5 stars I can promise they’d be checked. From the moment we stepped inside the service was unmatched. Then comes the food.... The depth of flavor, freshness, and overall attention to detail was incredible. I can say it was the best meal I’ve ever had. Would recommend to anyone in Crested Butte

Yet another place in town that lived up to the hype. Yes,it’s on the pricey side and, unlike many places we’ve visited, we felt our dinner was worth it. Nick, our waiter, took care of us. He walked us through the menu and how the food is prepared and served. It was a privilege to be hosted by him and the Sunflower staff. When we were there, the ambiance was festive and lively. Don’t expect a quiet, intimate setting! We can’t wait to revisit this gem again.
